About this product

Sew-On Leather Patches

A sew-on patch has a margin of leather around the artwork for the stitch line to pass through. That margin is not decoration; it is the part that has to survive a needle, and it is why a sew-on patch has to be laid out differently from a heat-sealed one.

It is also the only attachment we will recommend for anything going through a commercial laundry. Adhesives soften at laundry temperatures. Stitching does not care.

We can supply the patches plain for your own machinists, or pre-punched with stitch holes at a stated pitch so a hand-sewn or leather-needle run is quick and even. Tell us which and we will lay the border up to match.

FAQ

Sew-On Leather Patches: quick answers

What is the minimum order for sew-on leather patches?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Should I get the patches pre-punched?
If they are being hand-sewn or run on a leather needle, yes — it makes the stitch line even and much faster. If your machinists are used to leather, a plain border is fine and looks cleaner.
Why not just use an iron-on patch?
Because adhesive softens at laundry temperatures. If the finished item will ever go through a commercial wash, sewing is the only attachment we will stand behind.
